Sustainability seriously – at The Fjords

– Our guests enjoy the silence, the experience and the stories along the way along our fantastically beautiful Norwegian fjords. The electric boats allow travelers to hear birds chirping and listen to the sound of gurgling water, instead of boat engines and vibrations. Guiding takes place via their own mobile and travelers choose whether they want to participate. The silence and tranquility is magical, and we have the feeling of being completely in nature, but without leaving a trace, says John Vonli, general manager at The Fjords.

Arctic Train offers an audio guide on Ofotbanen

– There has been a great demand for guiding on our section along the Ofot Railway – which is one of Europe’s most beautiful train journeys. With the Voice Of Norway audio guide, all tourists now have access to the stories along the route, both rally stories, war stories and about hiking opportunities in the area. The trip will be richer in content and it will provide opportunities for more experiences in the area, says Kjetil Westby Bjørkaas, project manager in Arctic Train, who welcomes everyone to both the northern lights show and arctic experiences.
